How much do your quiz nights cost?
It depends on what you need. A weekly pub quiz is a different beast to a corporate night with custom content, branded materials and a full sound setup. Rather than throw a number at you that doesn't mean anything, just get in touch and I'll give you a straight answer based on what you're actually after. No faff, no hard sell.
What equipment do you bring?
We come with everything — microphones, mixer, the works. Most of the time we just plug in and get going with whatever the venue already has. If I'm not sure your setup will do the trick, I'll pop in before the night for a quick look. The last thing any of us wants is to be untangling cables while your punters are already three rounds in.
Do you travel outside Birmingham?
Yes, and we do it regularly. West Brom, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Hinckley, Leicester — and sometimes London when the right gig comes up. Further afield than that, just ask. Travel charges may apply depending on where you are, but it's rarely a dealbreaker.
Can you do custom content?
Yes. Company trivia, local knowledge rounds, themed nights, industry-specific questions — all of it. I've written rounds about Greggs menu items and Deluxe Paint colour palettes. If it exists, it can be a quiz round. Venues with a regular night tend to get a bit of that local flavour built in over time anyway.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Two to four weeks gives us the best chance of making it work, especially for weekends. That said, I do take last-minute bookings when I'm free — worth asking rather than assuming. Rush bookings after 10pm carry an additional charge, just so you know upfront.
What makes DotAltEvents different?
We genuinely care whether the night works. If I don't think a particular format suits your venue, I'll tell you rather than just take your money and see what happens. I also work with venues on the marketing side — a brilliant Quizz Night that nobody knows about is just a quiet Tuesday.

What are your hours?
Enquiries Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Events run to 10pm as standard — anything later than that, we'll talk about it when you book.
